Dear user,

if you’re here… you probably noticed that mx3 has a new design! We hope you like it, last time we properly updated the site was back in 2014 (TikTok was not even existing back then… just saying…:-)

It is a major update for mx3’s age of majority (18 years on 15th of September 2024 ! ) and we will celebrate it on 13th already with all the – “Musiktag” (Swiss Music Day) radios of the SRG SSR. So to be ready, we launch the new mx3 outfit a little bit in advance, we call it the “SILENT LAUNCH”, and as regular users you are the first to see it. Don’t hesitate to report any special trouble outside the list we will herewith maintain and regularly update. What’s wrong or broken, what’s in progress, what is fixed will be transparently reported on these pages. No worries, minor bugs are common during this kind of development phase. It’s a normal process for such a major upgrade of this tremendous platform.

We’re well aware that not everything works perfectly (YET) but be sure our developers are working hard every day to bring back all functions and also some new ones!

what’s new:

• mx3 will be fully responsive and optimised, you will soon have a great user experience on all devices, desktop, tablets, smartphones… doesn’t matter!
• player is now Run Over Site also for mobile devices, which means you can enjoy mx3 on the go with no interruptions, browsing the site while listening everything.
• the search engine is highly improved and you can use it for dynamic searches and targeted selections
  

what’s in the making:

• once you’re logged in, the ADMIN section of your profile is the “old” one you’re used too… very soon it’ll be possible to log-in and upload as well as edit your profiles on mobile as well… how cool is that?
• the mobile version of mx3 is not optimsed yet, some design, features and functions are still to be implemented, to experience the new version it is best to use mx3 on desktop
• Gig pages and display are not implemented yet, our developers are working on it and they’ll be back soon
• Embeds links, free downloads, stream à la carte, the flow, concerts index (works only on desktop with old design) Composers & Interpreters references (Neo.mx3)… coming back soon.

what’s yet to come:

• beautiful profiles with surrounding background (see picture above). It is an amazing feature that needs a lot of work so we had to focus on a stable and working website and postpone the 2nd wow effect.
• Follow features and many more social tools to get in touch with the newest productions from artists
• Personalized curated selections and recommendations
• A new and easy administration backend to edit your page and also upload from your mobile
• soon the “book my band” button will be enhanced with new function in order to help our partners if they wish to organise contests or special events with “call to actions”
• the idea is that labels will soon be able to manage several profiles with a single login, so that if you have many bands and artists in your roster, you can simply take control of their mx3 page
• Personal Dashboard with statistics
• Not mentioning what we also did concerning the security, the architecture, the storage, the framework and many technical hidden things nobody sees but that makes the magic of the new website feasible.
